Tonella Armchair

Sancal started out manufacturing classic, French-style chairs. Four decades on, we have decided to revisit our origins and borrow from the past. The Swedish design studio Note was selected to give the project a fresh, innovative angle. The original piece was classified as a dressing-table chair, but the tiny new Tonella is far more compact, designed to fit into the smallest corner. Despite its reduced size, it is enormously versatile, comfortable and sturdy, making it an ideal piece to accompany a sofa at home, placed in hotel rooms, shop dressing rooms or public areas.
The Marie Antoinette-style seat, back, and arms are made from molded polyurethane foam. The plain interior area can be upholstered in fabric or leather, the outer area is quilted to follow the barrel style lines of the base and is therefore only available in fabric.
